The task for this project was to design a magazine spread about a well-known designer while capturing their design aesthetic. The objective was to show off the designer’s personality and their work through the use of typography and images of their designs. 

 

My solution was to design a spread based on the industrial designer Karim Rashid. I captured his design aesthetic in the typography by using a san serif typeface while left aligning the type and leaving an organic rag on the right side to reference the organic shapes he uses in his designs. The white pages with pops of pink throughout along with the clean aesthetic are all representative of the color schemes and overall feeling of Rashid’s designs.
